A large part of the impact of our clothing comes from the choice of materials. That is why we want to use as much more sustainable material as possible in our collections. We are aiming for 50% more sustainable materials by 2025.


We classify a product as more sustainable when it consists of more than 50% responsible materials. Responsible materials include:

  • Recycled material
  • Material made from organically grown raw materials, such as organic cotton
  • Certified Lenzing viscose materials
  • Leather from Leather Working Group-certified tanneries  


For this, we follow the Modint Fiber Index and the Milieu Centraal Eco-label Guide. By using more sustainable (certified) materials and Leather Working Group tanning processes, we aim to reduce the environmental impact of our materials—with less pesticide use, less water, and less energy.

How far along are we?
Our 2023 leather collection consists of more than 60% leather from LWG-certified tanneries. This is one of our key materials. For non-leather materials such as cotton, viscose, and polyester, we are currently asking our suppliers what more sustainable material options are available. Unfortunately, not everything is (yet) possible for us. We still have important steps to take. You can recognize the more sustainable styles by the additional hangtag.
